Orlando, FL – This week, Florida Road Trip  visits the county seat of Volusia, highlighting a few stops including the Athens Theatre, Old Sugar Mill Pancake House and Stetson University.

Take a journey through history as the show traces the city’s early days of steamboat travel to the devastating fire of the late 1800s which led to a rebirth and the emerging art scene you find today. A few Stetson University graduates are featured as well, including actor Ted Cassidy.

“It was fascinating to learn that Ted Cassidy, the actor who played Lurch from The Addams Family, honed his craft at Stetson University,” said Kristin Donnelly, Senior Digital Producer who produced the feature on Cassidy. “It’s a unique piece of history and a fun local connection to such an iconic character.”

Join the ride as Florida Road Trip  Host Scott Fais makes his own table-side pancakes at the Old Sugar Mill Pancake House at DeLeon Springs State Park.
