Orlando, FL – On October 24 WUCF's  Florida Road Trip spotlights Oviedo, located just 20 miles northeast of downtown Orlando. Known for its deep-rooted history as a farming community that began in the 1800s, Oviedo continues to honor its heritage.

“This city is clearly shaped by its pioneers,” said Heather Bailey, Executive Producer of Florida Road Trip. “It’s fun to see how remnants of its beginnings are still seen in the newer developments. This speaks to the community’s commitment to honoring its past."

This episode traces the historic milestones of Oviedo, featuring stories of prominent local families, including the Dudas and Lukas, who continue to contribute to the identity of the city. Plus, join the ride with host Scott Fais as he embarks on an airboat ride on Lake Jesup and tests his skills at a popular pinball lounge.

For the first time ever, the new season will debut 10 episodes to celebrate Season 10:

Florida Road Trip  airs at 8 p.m. Thursdays on WUCF TV. For more information, go to FloridaRoadTrip.org.
