Dr. Yamamoto’s passion shines at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine

Have you ever been around someone who is so passionate about something, you get into it as well? That is exactly what it was like when I first met Dr. Yamamoto. She is sharp and fast. I may not have been able to understand to the depth that she did the science as she talked, but I was excited to hear about her journey of not only discovering Feline Aids, but also the treatment. Up next for her…a cure. She works long hours each day during the work week, and then you’ll also find her working in the lab on the weekend too. She’s passionate about her work and about the research she does. She’s earned money from the patents she's created and instead of spending it on herself, she reinvests it into her work by buy additional tools for her laboratory. The best way to describe her is truly dedicated to her work and her advice to others is to be persistent.
