Exploring Miami’s History and its Founder

I’ve always considered Miami to be one of the biggest cities in our state. Maybe it’s because of its iconic look, or how it’s featured in TV and film like New York and L.A, but in reality it’s a pretty small city (not population wise). Any guesses on which city is the largest in Florida (land size)? I’ll give you a hint…it was featured in Season 8 of Florida Road Trip! The city is also fairly young compared to other metropolitan areas across the country. It was founded in 1874 and is the only major U.S. city to be founded by a woman!
